4th of July

July 4th 2012 was spent with one of my favorite people, my 2 month old granddaughter Sofia. A month prior, I purchased our fashion statements for the upcoming festivities; a white tee shirt with the Old Navy American Flag emblem and a matching onesie for my girl. Her mother joined with the same flag emblem on a red tank. We parked near the Trinity River in Fort Worth at about 8pm on the fourth to wait for the fireworks (which is one of my daughter, Brittney's favorite things). It was HOT, but of course the heat was nothing out of the ordinary for Texas, but it was out of the ordinary for Miss Sofia. She was miserable!

Because Brittney loves taking pictures, Sofia was the prime target. As you can see, she was so excited to be the subject matter. It took some time for the fireworks to start but when they did it was great. We happened to be in a spot where we were able to see two different displays. While, Brittney, her husband Juan and I watched the show, Sofia watched the inside of her eyelids! Yes, she was fast asleep!!! It of course will be some time before before we can discuss her "boredom" of an annual family outing, but until then I'll have photographic evidence of my dollbaby.

Okay, so these lovely people are Sofia's proud parents. That's my daughter Brittney and her husband Juan. I think they are a good couple. They are still young and things come up, but they are good together. Look at my baby's sweet face, I guess that's where Sofia gets it.

We are all cohabiting right now, waiting for the inspection on their new house so I have been lucky enough to have had my new grandbaby with me since she came home from the hospital. I have been able to swaddle her and rock her to sleep, feed her and soothe her crying. What more could a "Love" ask for?

Brittney and Juan are new parents so there is a learning curve but I can see they are on the right track. They have gotten a routine down and the evenings are much smoother. Those of you who are willing, pray for this little family as they set off into their new adventure as new homeowners.

I just had to upload this one!
My dollbaby Sofia.
Up And Running!

I am more overwhelmed than I thought by the launch of my new website. I knew it would come to pass, I just was not prepared for how awesome it would really be. Some serious time and talent was taken to make Tracypalmer.org what it is. I must give all props to Grady Tart of In Essence Technology Solutions out of Raleigh Durham, NC. Without his care and expertise, the site would me nothing. Please check him out at inessencetechnology.com.

After the site was up and running and able to accept purchases, one came through. MY FIRST SALE OF MY FIRST BOOK! The most lovely, precious thing about it is that the first purchase was made by my BEST FRIEND, Cynthia Alexander. She has been with me every step of the way and I cannot thank her enough. LITERALLY... the words "Thank you" just don't seem to be enough to adequately express the love, respect and emotion that I hold for this single human being.God is so magnificent in how he places those people in your life that just fit PERFECTLY. And for a best friend, Cynthia is my perfect fit.
I hope that you all reading this will take a look at both my site and Grady's and if you can, show your support. I am so excited to be embarking on this new adventure and I hope you will join me. And if by chance you have not found your path...I hope it's just around the corner.

Psyched For The Journey

I am so psyched that my new website is coming online soon. It has been a long time coming, well actually...I have been a long time coming. It has been hard to see what others see in me. My talent, my intelligence, my kind heart has been sadly hard for me to see in myself.

I have realized that all that I am is all that God has made me to be. I am one that has His fingerprints on my whole being and I am readily embracing it. This year, I have died in the back of an ambulance, become a grandmother, a mother-in-law, lost a job a loved, completed my first book and opened a new website to promote the talents that God has blessed me with.

Wish me luck and I welcome you to join me on this journey.

Delayed by the "crud..."

I know, it's been forever since I've blogged but in my defense...I've had huge case of the CRUD! I began feeling sick around the end of October just as we were really getting into weekly rehearsals for the family show. I asked my boss if he could see me at the clinic and he agreed. I was having difficulty breathing, but I atributed it to allergies (everyone around me was dealing with the same type of thing).

In the clinic the doc listened to my chest and described my wheezing as "impressive." I was given a breathing treatment, a steriod injection, an antibiotic injection and a ton of medications...I was SICK!
For the next 3 months I have suffered with BRONCHITIS and it has been a bear. I was finally given some Singulair and I am starting to feel better. I was also given the advice of using Vicks vapor rub on my chest before going to bed and it really did help.

I was concerned that I was sick through rehearsals and during the actual show. I was totally medicated and got through everything just fine.

In January I looked forward to a great year filled with new experiences and new people. In Febrruary I experienced unexpected changes, but thus is life. Everything is a learning experience and I planned to take full advantage. March is here now and things are looking up and I am so grateful for so many things.

I look forward to what the year has to hold fo me and mine and I wish only good for you and yours.

I am excited to meet one new person in particular this year...Sofia, my first grandaughter is expected in May and I can't wait. I of course fully expect to spoil her and then send her home to her parents...what, isn't that what grandparents are for???

Starting Something New...

Well, I have embarked upon something new. It's early and I'm hoping for the best...actually I am hoping for better than the best. There are always ups and downs with things, situations and people that are new to our lives, but if we hang in there we will work the shoe leather til it softens enough to accept our overflowing foot, find the perfect pairing for that fabulous lavender jacket and communicate our feeling til the cows come home, we just might get exactly what we were hoping for. Take a look at my face and know that your gurl, Tracy is happy and hopeful for the new experiences to come. I hope that whatever is going on in your life right now, puts the same kind of smile on your face. If it's not...find something that will.
